On this day (11th July) in 1859, Big Ben rang for the first time because (spoiler alert!) Big Ben is a bell not a tower. I used this anniversary moment to shine a light on some of London’s most exciting bells.

Old, New, and Wonderful: Cannon Street
I want to start a new little segment. The Old, the New, and the Wonderful. There’s so much to do in London and you’d need a lifetime to do it all, so to help out all of my fellow Adventurers, I’ll be putting together three things at a time: one old, one new, and one a little bit unusual. Today we’re looking at the area in and around Cannon Street in the City of London.
I would never have survived my three days in New York without strangers. Okay, maybe slightly dramatic, but the people I interacted with certainly nudged me in the right direction when I needed it most.
From photographers to navigators to new friends, be safe and always talk to strangers.
